27.11.12 High Street Pattern Report
Picking out key themes in print and pattern whilst wondering round the Bullring this week. Animated and playful conversational prints with quirky characters. Decorative and intricate floral arrangements for blouses and shirts. Ditsy florals in darker colour ways as well as graphic, silhouetted and artistic effects. Small scale paisley. Textured and atmospheric plaid, combinations with floral. Relationship between shapes and playful patterning, constellations. Painted and stylised leopard print, surface or weave of fabric adding to qualities of print.

Isle of Coll 2014
The Isle of Coll, in the Inner Hebrides, Scoland is somewhere I look back to for inspiration again and again and I have recently returned from a holiday there and it was as spectacular as ever.

After a short break I am ready to start designing again. Been teaching myself Adobe Illustrator by watching endless YouTube tutorials, starting to get somewhere with it now. Just got myself a job at Diane Von Furstenberg in Bicester Village, using this time now to get some money in whilst looking for textile design jobs and building my portfolio.

08.07.14 - New Designers - GRADUATE
New Designers was the last big tick on the list and it really was an amazing experience. The week began on a high after receiving a First Class Honors for my degree, feeling very proud knowing all the hard work paid off and also so happy for all my brilliant housemates and class mates who I am going to miss massively.
Monday and Tuesday was set up day and apart from being ridiculously hot we all pulled together and after a few tweaks and changes the stand looked fabulous and incredibly diverse. The awards evening was Wednesday and then the show was open to the public for the rest of the week with our stand attracting a lot of interest and lots of exciting opportunities being discussed. Loved having the time to properly look round the show and I always enjoy being in London. Had a few really interesting conversations, making connections and am now considering the possibility of doing an MA sometime in the future. Busy, busy week and felt like a massive achievement to finally be there and remembering the feeling of looking round as a A Level student and being completely overwhelmed.
I am now back home in Buckingham after jetting straight off after New Designers to Croatia for Hideout Festival to celebrate my birthday as well as the end off uni, my result and to really let my hair down after an crazy few months. I am now starting the daunting process of job hunting...staying positive!

Had my interview at Texprint, eagerly awaiting the outcome. Now busy packing the van and getting ready for New Designers which we are all really excited about and will in itself be an amazing experience and something I have aspired to do for a long time.
Check out my portfolio on Artsthread and keep up to date with all my goings on, on Twitter and Instagram.
